Hello all lovers of Earth! Are you interested in contributing to the wellness of our home planet? Do you want to have an impact on the future health of our world? Have you ever wanted to learn more about the benefits of “green” building technology? Then join us at the NASA Langley Research Center to celebrate Earth Day by learning how NASA is sustaining the Earth with environmentally-friendly, ‘green’ technology and helping to restore our very own green roof!
We need volunteers between April 17th – 28th on the roof to help:
  • weed
  • plant
  • set up a new irrigation system

You do not need to be an expert gardener to help, all volunteers will be guided. Any help is welcome!

All volunteers will be provided with a pair of garden gloves and water. We would like to inform everyone that this event will involve squatting, kneeling, or bending over for a few hours at a time. Please be aware of your personal limitations when signing up.

Even though we understand that including our next generation in events that are focused on a better future, we unfortunately need to ask that all volunteers are 18 years and older due to safety concerns.

When: April 17th – April 28th from 9:00am – 5:00pm
Where: 1 Nasa Drive, Hampton, VA 23666
RSVP: If you would like to participate on any or all of these days, please contact Amanda Stark at amanda.stark@nasa.gov with your availability by no later than April 7th. We hope to see you there!
