Re-Power Virginia The Chesapeake Climate Action Network is one of the leading groups working to promote energy efficiency and clean energy in Virginia. Energy efficiency is the cleanest, least expensive and quickest way for Virginia to meet its growing energy demands. Virginia also has some of the highest offshore wind potential on the East Coast. By reducing our energy use by using energy more efficiently, and meeting our energy demands more and more with clean energy like wind and solar, we can avoid the need to build costly and dirty new generation like the Wise County coal plant or the recently proposed $6 billion coal plant in Hampton Roads.
