Boycott the Potomac Pipeline Public Hearing 1/22
January 22, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
We are at a critical moment in the fight to stop the Potomac Pipeline for fracked gas. The pipeline is proposed to run straight across Maryland. Larry Hogan and his Department of Environment are holding their second public hearing on the controversial pipeline on January 22 — and it’s time for a boycott.
Join us in turning our backs on Hogan’s flawed pipeline process and sending a strong message that cutting corners is not acceptable when it comes to the health of our communities, our water, and our climate. Stand in solidarity with CCAN, the Maryland Sierra Club, Potomac Riverkeepers, Eastern Panhandle Protectors, Food & Water Watch, and many more to say “No Potomac Pipeline!”
What: Boycott Larry Hogan’s Public Hearing on the Potomac Pipeline
Who: Hundreds of climate activists — and you!
When: January 22nd, 6:00 p.m.
Where: Hancock Middle-Senior High School, 289 W Main St, Hancock, Maryland 21750
Why: Because cutting corners is not acceptable when it comes to the health of our communities.
PS: If you signed up to speak at the first hearing but didn’t get a chance, you are welcome to make your voice heard during this hearing. We will simply ask you to make a statement of solidarity during your comments and then rejoin the broader boycott of citizens outside.
