FERC: Guilty on Cove Point!

October 3, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Sign up here to join the rapid response action outside of FERC’s Washington, D.C. headquarters on Friday, October 3rd at 10:00AM.

On Monday, September 29th, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission sided with the gas industry — and betrayed the health and safety our communities and climate — by approving Dominion’s plan to build a $3.8 billion fracked gas export facility at Cove Point.

While the system has failed, there’s no question that we will keep fighting — from the streets to the courts — to stop Cove Point.

Join us at FERC’s doorstep on Friday, October 3rd, as we convene the “people’s court” on Cove Point, calling out the regulators and elected officials who have failed to stand up for us, and issuing our own judgment. Leaders from FERC Chairman Cheryl LaFleur to Congressman Steny Hoyer to Governor Martin O’Malley to President Obama are all guilty of letting this dangerous, polluting project move forward. Let’s hold them accountable.

WHAT: The “People’s Court” on Cove Point. Join the rapid response action to denounce FERC’s decision.
WHEN: Friday, October 3rd at 10:00AM.
WHERE: Outside the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission headquarters, 888 First Street NE, Washington, DC

Sign up here. Hold our public officials accountable for this fracked gas disaster.
