Virginia Beach Hearing on the EPA Carbon Rules: July 28th at 5pm
July 28, 2014 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Last month, the Environmental Protection Agency issued a landmark set of rules designed to combat climate change. For the first time ever, the federal government is mandating reductions in carbon emissions from the nation’s single largest source of climate pollution: power plants.
Virginia’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is hosting listening sessions around Virginia to gather public input, including Monday, July 28th in Virginia Beach. Come speak up to make sure Virginia meets the new carbon rules with investments in wind, solar, and energy efficiency — not dirty fracked gas.
WHAT: Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) listening session on proposed federal carbon rules
WHEN: Monday, July 28th, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
WHERE: Auditorium, Virginia Beach Public Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, Virginia 23452
